Tyra LynneBanks is an African American model, media personality, actress, occasional singer, andbusinesswoman. She first became famous as a model in Paris,Milan, London, Tokyo, and New York, but television appearances were hercommercial breakthrough. Banks is the creator and host of the UPN/TheCW reality television show America's Next Top Model,co-creator of True Beauty, and host ofher own talkshow, The Tyra Banks Show.

Early life:

Tyra Bankswas born in Inglewood, California, the daughter of Carolyn, a medicalphotographer, and Donald Banks, a computer consultant. The couple divorced in1980, when Banks was 6 years old. However, the relationship between herparents, and between her and her brother Devin Banks, stayed friendly. Later,Carolyn married Clifford Johnson; she now goes by Carolyn London-Johnson. Banksattended John Burroughs Middle School and graduated in 1991 from ImmaculateHeart High School in Los Angeles. She was accepted by USC and UCLA but declinedto attend, instead pursuing a career in modeling.

 

Modeling:

Banks beganmodeling in the 11th grade. She later went to Paris, France to do some runwaymodeling. Within Banks' first week in Paris, she was booked for twenty fiveshows. She has done extensive print and/or runway work for fashion/advertisinggiants, such as Anna Sui, CoverGirl, Bill Blass, Chanel, Victoria'sSecret, and Yves Saint Laurent. She has appeared on the covers of high-fashionmagazines such as Vogue,Harper'sBazaar, Cosmopolitan, and Elle.

Banks wasthe first African American woman on the covers of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.In 1997, she received the VH1 award for Supermodel of the Year. That same year,she became the first-ever African American chosen for the cover of theVictoria's Secret catalog.

In 1998,Banks authored a book entitled Tyra's Beauty, Inside and Out. The bookwas advertised as a resource for helping women to make the most out of theirnatural beauty.
Banksretired from modeling in May 2005 to concentrate on her television career. Shewalked the runway for the final time at the 2005 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
In 2010,Banks re-signed with her former modeling agency IMG Models.

Move Into Television And Film:

Banks'stelevision career began on the fourth season of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,in which she played lead character Will Smith's old friend Jackie Ames. Shemade seven appearances in the series. Other TV credits include Felicity, MADtv, NickCannon's Wild 'n Out (in which she was featured as aspecial guest host and team captain) and The Price Is Right. She also appeared as aguest in the animated talk show Space Ghost Coast to Coast in anepisode entitled "Chinatown."

Tyra Banksstarted her own production company Bankable Productions, which produced TheTyra Banks Show, America's Next Top Model, and the2008 movie The Clique. Currently, Bankscan be seen on television as the hostess, judge and executive producer of The CW Television Network show America's Next Top Model. Inaddition, she hosted The Tyra Banks Show, a daytime talk showaimed at younger women, which premiered on September 12, 2005, and ran untilMay 28, 2010. In 2008, Banks won the Daytime Emmy Award for her work and productionon The Tyra Banks Show. 

In late-January 2008, Banks got thego-ahead from The CW Television Network to start work on a new realitytelevision series based on fashion magazines called Stylista.The show premiered on October 22, 2008. In 2009, she was honored by Gay & LesbianAlliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) with the Excellence in Media Award. Banks'sfirst big screen role came in 1994, when she co-starred in the drama HigherLearning. She went on to co-star with LindsayLohan in the Disney film Life-Size,playing a doll named Eve who comes to life and has to learn how to live in thereal world. 

Other notable roles include Love Stinks (1999), Love & Basketball (2000), Coyote Ugly (2000) and Halloween: Resurrection (2002). Sheand MileyCyrus poke fun at the excesses of the Hollywoodlifestyle with a battle over a pair of shoes in Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009). Banksappeared in the fourth episode of the third season of Gossip Girlplaying Ursula Nyquist, alarger-than-life actress who works with Serena.

 

Music:

Banks hasappeared in several music videos, including MichaelJackson's "Black or White", Tina Turner's"LoveThing", Mobb Deep's "Trife Life", GeorgeMichael's "Too Funky" and LionelRichie's "Don't Wanna Lose You". In 2004, she recorded her firstsingle, "Shake Ya Body," which had a music video featuring the finalsix contestants on America's Next Top Model, Cycle 2.The video was world-premiered on UPN, but the single turned out to be afailure. 

On America's Next Top Model, Cycle 2 Banks said, "Singinghas been a passion of mine for a long, long time...six years on the down low -been ducking in and out of studios cutting tracks." Later, on her talkshow, she said, "I can't believe I wasted six years of doing somethingthat I didn't finish...I was almost able to release my album T.Y.R.A.,but since my music career hit rock bottom, I quit. Banks released a single withNBA player Kobe Bryant,entitled "K.O.B.E.," which was performed on NBA TV. Shealso has a single on the soundtrack to Disney Channel's Original MovieLife-Sizecalled "Be A Star.

Apple, guava, Pears and peaches are important for glowingskin. Beside this a cup of milk daily keeps your skin complexion in lighterform. Vitamin A is very good for skin health found in all dark green fruits andvegetables. Vitamin E is also for keeping the skin young. Fish and other seafoods are very effective for skin growth and health due to attendance of manyimportant minerals in them.

1. Take some lemon juice and add in to it honey then it isapplied on face for 15 minutes daily.
2. Cucumber juice also has vital effect in changing the skintexture. First to rub with cucumber slices and then apply cucumber juice on it.Leave it for over night and wash at morning it will change the complexion ofyour skin.
3. Apply the mixture of gram flour, milk and lime juice onface and neck twice in a weak.
4. Apply yogurt on face and rub it continuously until it getdried and then wash your face.
5. Application of reddish juice on skin also improves theskin complexions
6. Oat meal, yogurt and tomato juice when mixed and appliedon face gives a glowing complexion.
7. Almond with honey applied on face changes the complexionto lighter color
8.Take two table spoons of gram flour and in to it freshhomogenized milk and make a paste of it and use it for washing your faceinstead of soap it will change the tone of your skin effectively.
9. Soak some almonds in water for a night. Then at morningpeel them and grind add in to it some milk and lemon juice and rubbed on faceit will also change the complexion f your skin.

  • Apply carrot juice leave for half an hour and wash it.
  • Go for a facial and a bleach in a beauty parlour.
  • Go for oxy bleach that will be effective.
  • Apply egg white let it dry and wash it.
