Diamond Slippers

The World's Most Expensive Shoes
The world's most luxurious pair of shoes has been created by House of Borgezie. Encrusted with 2,200 hand-set brilliant-cut diamonds weighing 30 carats in total, the shoes are handcrafted from solid gold or platinum and put on the market for £140,000.

Creator Christopher Michael Shellis, a British jewellery designer, decided to craft the shoes to "create a unique form of jewellery which you can wear on your feet," but the brand has yet to sell a pair.

House of Borgezie offer an "eternity guarantee" - which lasts 1,000 years - and the shoes have a detachable sole and heel which can be replaced to keep your investment looking perfect. Only five pairs have been created so far, and Shellis asserts that no more than 50 will be available international to ensure exclusivity.
